Create strong and unique passwords

The best password is a long password that contains both capital and lowercase letters, punctuation marks, symbols and numbers.

Your password must contain more than eight characters and, most importantly, it must be different for each site that you visit. If a fraudster finds your password on a website with low security, they'll try it with your username on every site they can find, especially financial institution websites.

The more different characters you put in your password, the safer it will be.

The password you choose to unlock your cell phone is particularly crucial. These devices can give access to a variety of applications (and information) without an access code. You can choose a long password in the settings of your phone.

91% of people have a password from the top 1,000 passwords.
